An executive table is the one piece of furniture every visitor to your office will notice. It needs to look right, but it also needs to work: enough space for a computer and files, storage where you need it, and a solid build that stays level for years. This guide covers what to decide before you order.

1. Start with the room, not the table

Measure the room and mark the door, windows and power points. Leave about 3 ft behind the table for your chair to move, and at least 2.5 to 3 ft in front for visitor chairs. A table that is too big makes a room feel cramped, however expensive it looks.

Room size (approx.)Suggested table
10 x 10 ft4 x 2 ft or 5 x 2.5 ft, straight
12 x 12 ft6 x 3 ft, straight or with a short side return
14 x 14 ft and above7 x 3.5 ft, L-shaped with side return

These are starting points. We always measure on site before we finalise the size.

2. Straight or L-shaped?

A straight table suits smaller offices and gives a clean, formal look. An L-shaped table adds a side return for your computer, printer or files, so the main top stays clear for meetings. If you work on a computer most of the day, an L-shape is usually more comfortable.

3. Choose the board

Most modern office tables in Lahore are made from MDF or particle board with a laminate or high-gloss finish, sometimes with solid wood for edges and frames. MDF gives a smoother surface and holds screws well; particle board is lighter on the budget. Read our materials guide for the full comparison.

4. Pick a finish that matches your brand

  • Black marble finish with gold: luxury, bold and very popular for director offices.
  • Walnut with silver or steel trim: classic and professional, it never looks out of date.
  • White marble finish: bright and clean for clinics, salons and creative offices.
  • Grey or light oak: calm and modern, and easy to match with workstations.

Marble-look finishes are usually high-gloss sheets on MDF. They give the look of stone without the weight and are easier to keep clean.

5. Plan the storage

Think about what you keep at your desk. Lockable drawers for documents, a CPU space, a file drawer, or a side cabinet with shelves. Ask for cable holes and a wire tray so cables do not hang behind the table.

6. Check the build quality

  • Edges should be machine-banded and smooth, with no gaps or lifting.
  • The top should sit flat on strong pedestals, with no bounce when you lean on it.
  • Metal strips should be set into the panel, not just glued on top.
  • Drawers should run smoothly on proper runners.

7. See it before it is made

Ask for a 3D design in the exact size and finish. It is the easiest way to avoid surprises. You can also try our online 3D table designer to compare finishes and trims, then send your choice to us on WhatsApp.
